Thunderbird Support-1800-875-8836

How To Fix Mozilla Thunderbird issues.

There are many issues that you might face while using mozilla thunderbird but not to worry here are few steps you can follow to fix Mozilla Thunderbird Yourself..

Gmail and BCC addresses
When you are using a mail client (such as Thunderbird, Outlook, Entourage, etc.) with a Gmail account and your account is configured to synchronize mail using the IMAP protocol, you cannot see BCC message recipients when you look at the message in the "Sent Mail" folder.
For example, say that you sent a message with the few recipients:
If you subsequently viewed the message in the "Sent Mail" folder, only the "To" and "CC" addresses would be shown as message recipients. This is because Gmail strips the BCC recipient(s) from messages. The message is sent to the BCC recipient, but the BCC recipient is not displayed in the saved sent message. (The BCC recipient is also not displayed on Gmail's web-based interface if the message originated in Thunderbird.)
To work around this problem, use the Gmail web interface to send messages when you need to include a BCC recipient. Alternatively, use an SMTP server other than Gmail's. For example, your Internet Service Provider (ISP) probably provides access to an SMTP server, which you could use to send messages.

How to Synchronize folders (labels) in Thunderbird.
If you want to see all your Gmail labels and messages in Thunderbird but prefer to avoid all the messages being downloaded to your system, you may want to tweak the synchronization settings. This allows you to define which folder should be synchronized. If you don't synchronize a folder, the message header will still be displayed in Thunderbird, but the message content will only be downloaded when you click on the message header.
To change how messages are downloaded, set synchronization options for the account and for individual folders.

How to Subscribe to or unsubscribe from folders (labels) in thunderbird
You can configure which Gmail folders you want to display in Thunderbird. By default all Gmail folders are displayed, as described above. To configure folder display, right-click any folder and select Subscribe.
Uncheck any folders that you don't want to display in Thunderbird. Messages will still be downloaded and available through the "All Mail" folder. They will also be included in search results. However, the Gmail label (Thunderbird folder) will not be displayed.

Subscribing to folders and synchronizing messages
Understanding Gmail labels and Thunderbird folders
Gmail uses a special implementation of IMAP. In this implementation, Gmail labels become Thunderbird folders. When you apply a label to a message in Gmail, Thunderbird creates a folder with the same name as the label and stores the message in that folder. Similarly, if you move a message to a folder in Thunderbird, Gmail will create a label with the folder name and assign it to the message.
There is also a set of special sub-folders for the "[Gmail]" folder:
1 All Mail: contains all of the messages in your Gmail account, including sent and archived messages. Any messages that you see in the inbox will also appear in the [Gmail]/All Mail folder.
2 Drafts: contains draft messages.
3 Sent Mail: contains sent messages.
4 Spam: contains messages that were marked as spam (either by Gmail or Thunderbird).
5 Starred: contains messages that were starred (either by Gmail or Thunderbird).
6 Trash: contains deleted messages.
7 Important: contains messages that Gmail has flagged as "important".
Note that a message can have multiple labels (for instance, "Personal", "Travel", "All Mail" and "Starred"). In this case, a single copy of this message will be downloaded, but it will be displayed in all the corresponding Thunderbird folders.

Gmail's particularities in thunderbird
Archiving messages
In order to be consistent with Gmail's behavior, Thunderbird archives your message in the "All Mail" folder, and not in an "Archive" folder as it does for other accounts
Note that the Archive options... button is disabled for Gmail accounts, as it is not necessary to define the archive granularity with Gmail.

How To Configure Gmail in Thunderbird
To configure Thunderbird to work with Gmail, first enable IMAP on your Gmail account.(IMAP is enabled on new Gmail accounts by default.)
Next, select File > New > Existing Mail Account.... The "Mail Account Setup" dialog is displayed. After you provide your account information (real name, email address and password), Thunderbird will automatically configure your Gmail connection. Click Done, sign in with your Google account if prompted and that's all! Thunderbird will download your existing messages and your Gmail will be ready to use.

How To Manually Configure email in Thundbird.
When you are configuring an email account, Thunderbird will often be able to do most of the configuration automatically. However, you will need to manually configure your account if your email provider is not listed in Thunderbird's automatic configuration database, or if you have a non-standard email configuration. This page will show you the basic settings you need to send and receive emails.
To manually configure an account, you will need to have the following details which can be supplied by your email provider.
incoming mail server and port (for example, "pop.example.com" and port 110 or "imap.example.com" and port 143)
outgoing mail server and port (for example, "smtp.example.com" and port 25)
security setting for the connection with the server (for example, "STARTTLS" or "SSL/TLS" and whether or not to use secure authentication)
First, open the Account Settings (Tools > Account Settings). Each email or newsgroup account that has already been configured is listed on the left side of the Account Settings dialog. These accounts correspond to the top-level folders displayed in the "All Folders" list.
Click the Account Actions button and select Add Mail Account….
Enter your email account details and press Continue. Thunderbird will try to determine your account settings based on the domain portion of your email address (that is, the portion after the "@" symbol). Press the Stop button to abort the lookup, then edit the server names, port and IMAP/POP, and then press Manual Configuration to manually set up the the account. Note that it's important that you set server names, port and IMAP/POP before clicking Manual Config. (Alternatively, you can allow the lookup to gather default account details and then manually change the settings later.)
Configure the outgoing server
Multiple email accounts can use the same outgoing SMTP server. Therefore, SMTP servers are created separately from email accounts. In the Account Settings dialog, in the left pane, select Outgoing Server (SMTP) from the bottom of the list. There may be an entry in the resulting list that was created when you entered your account details. Either edit that entry or add a new entry.
As another example, a Gmail account is configured as follows:
Server Name: smtp.gmail.com
Port: 587
Use name and Password: checked
User Name: your gmail userid without "@gmail.com" extension (for example, if you email address is brian@gmail.com, then your user name is "brian"). If you are using Google Apps for Domains, use your entire address (for example, "billsmith@yourdomain.com").
Connection Security: STARTTLS
After saving the information about the new outgoing server, select your new email account from the list. In the Outgoing Server (SMTP) field, select the SMTP server from the drop-down list. Other items on the page were automatically created when you entered the account details - alter and extend as necessary.
Click on the Server Settings option under your new account. Make sure the entries in the following fields correspond to the settings given to you by your email provider:
After saving these changes you should be able to send and receive emails. Other aspects of account configuration are optional and self-explanatory.
